i've been working on some things! :D i haven't any pictures as of yet, but I've just made up a few more cute lil coasters & some coffee cup sleeves. Simple, cute & fast. I don't have much time for crocheting... I can barely keep the clothes washed and house clean as it is. Doodle is still on a 2 hour on the dot feeding schedule & as much as I don't mind this keeps us from getting too engrossed in anything we do.
I have TOTALLY overcame my fear of breast feeding in public. This past weekend broke me of it when I left the house without a single bottle on our trip to Atlanta for some thrifting. I breastfed walking through a Goodwill in Sandy Springs & Riverdale. Also, in Griffin Wal-Mart. Just walking around with Doodle latched on. Even an elderly lady approached me in the frozen foods in Wal*Mart. She wanted to see Doodle, but didn't realize I was in the process of feeding her. It was silly & sweet and the little lady told me I was doing a good job, she couldn't even tell. I'm still surprised at how hard it's been to keep going. It seems like every single road block someone could encounter with breast feeding, I've experienced. Just a few weeks ago my supply dropped so fast and so bad it was miserable. I had to skip a whole day of feeding pretty much and do nothing but pump every 2 hours for 20 minutes. But we're back to normal now. I do love it & don't wish to stop anytime soon.
A big group of us got together earlier this week to try our hand at tie dying with acrylic paints. It was so much fun. Doodle now has 3 tie dye onesizes! I can't wait to get in one! I will have to document that.
Speaking of, my camera is sick. :( The screen is busted so you can't see what you are taking a picutre of.. and I Don't have a view finder so... when i take pics i just have to guess at it now. lol. OH well.
Well, lovelys.. it's a good night for me. sweet dreams

changes & happiness
Hello there. I know what you're thinking... you changed your layout... AGAIN!? Ha, indeed I did. What can I say, change is good. Either that or I'm just so indecisive it's ridiculous.
Well, I FINALLY got my bathroom & closet organized and decorated! My mom came over yesterday and we cleaned house getting everything ready for the baby to come home & to knock out the daunting task of going through 4 HUGE boxes of clothes and cleaning the closet. It took a really long time and towards the end we were both getting very tired, but it is done and my bathroom is so cheerful, hands down it's the cheeriest place in the whole house. I really wish my living room was that bright & cheery.

doesn't it all just make you smile? It makes me excited. I just want to spend hours in there. Last night when I was taking those photos, I just sat down at the make-up table & kept clicking the camera. Sometimes I love just taking pictures of myself with absolutely no make up on. It makes me realize I'm not as un-attractive as I feel and that there is beauty in simplicity. :D
Cheers to that.

gardens, yarns & projects
well, I have finally sat down with the camera and a few of the projects I'm working on right now. I have to say that crocheting while watching t.v. is so nice. I just get to hooking so fast, before I know it I have 11 granny squares made or half of a purse. I really should thank Attic24 for her inspiration & pattern for my little bag that I'm making! Her color choices are so amazing & so lovely that I just want to stop by her house and get cozy on her sofa! Look around on her blog... it's so cute & cheerful, it will make your day so much better!!!

this is me & my uber preggers bod! :D only a few more days left :( it almost makes me sad... almost.

my lovely verbena. it makes me so happy with it's purpleness!!!

red carnations! because red and purple look so good together! they are besties in my little garden right now!

my very first rose bush & it has finally bloomed. it makes me so happy. everytime I walk outside I just feel so amazing because I can actually keep a rose bush alive. *sigh* and because it is so beautiful!

i forgot what these are called, but they are also in my little happy place!

mmm... yarrnnnnn. this is what I've been working with for the past couple of days. It's a mixture of red heart super saver yarn, red heart kids yarn & "i love this yarn" (which, I in fact love.)

this is what my yarn has been doing! it's been making grannies!

these grannies really do make me smile. they're so simple & so fun. they just pile up and pile up & then you have a whole little bock. :D

went to the lobby of hobbies today. got some vanessa choice yarn & it feels so light at soft & the colors are so vivid. I just love it. I'm using it to make my yarn bag. The pattern I'm using is from Attic 24 (linked above) & I can't wait to finish this!!!

and here's my bag... I'm just hooking along. I've got a few more increases to do, then about a million even stitches to make the body of the bag
so, that's what i've been doing. :D oh && meet MAX!!!! Our little tyrant of a lab who thinks he is a tea-cup sized pup...

well, if you don't hear from me for a while, you'll know it's because motherhood has been bestowed upon me and I am busy loving the little creation that God has given me. I'll get some pictures up asap... I mean how could I have a blog & not post about the BIGGEST change in my life? I'm sure I'll be here to vent, boast & whine. Oh, I can't wait.
Till then,

mocking devil bird
Have you ever seen Failure to Launch? With SJP & Matthew McConnaey (however he spells it.) and the wonderful Zooey Deschanel. Well, Zooey's character, Kat, is tormented by a mocking bird or as she calls it "effing devil bird." Do you know why she called it a devil bird? I do. Because at 12.43 in the morning it is singing it's teeny little heart out like the sun is at high noon. There lurking in the darkness that winged demon coo's, cah's, twirps, wreeecks, laughs ad makes other hideous/beautiful noises. Granted during the day, I find those sounds to be charming and comforting. BUT at 12.44 at night, I want to murder the little fowl. Sad, yes, I know. But it's just so loud. Needless to say I can sympathize with Kat from Failure to Launch.
OK, so I went to the doctor today for my 38 week appointment & I had my little ultra-sound. Miss Autumn is estimated at being 7 lbs 7 oz. and I can't remember how long, I think it was 21 inches... maybe. She is still in her breech position & is highly unlikely to turn at this point, beause her bottom is firmly planted in my pelvis. Lucky little girl, she's all comfy in here & doesn't feel the need to move or come out.. ever. With that being said, the doctors have scheduled me a c-section for next wednesday morning at 8 am. Little Autumn will be born on May 6 (unless I go into labor on my own before then). I'm so excited for her to be here... when the doctor said we would do the surgery next week, I was a little disappointed. I kind of hoped he would go ahead and lets do it this week. The whole time I've been pregnant I thought she would come this week. It's so weird how fast time flies & I'm sure this last week will fly by even faster. I simply can't wait to meet her and hold her and to give her more love than anything else in this world.

where's heather?
well, where in the heck have I been? I guess I got bust trying to move into our new house & now I've been occupied doing random things. Trying to figure out when I'm going to pop out a human... trying to make stuff for my craft show in September.. trying to rest... trying to get Autumn to turn... you know. I have made some progress with things for the craft show. I have more coasters made.. some coffee cozy's for to-go cups, crochet bunny toy & now I'm working on a granny square blanket. I am determined to finish it. I will finish this blanket, even if it's a small lap blanket. I have to, just to prove to myself that I can do it. I'll get some pics up soon.. well maybe. See, I go to the doctor tomorrow for my 38 week appointment. I have an ultrasound to see if Autumn has turned (which she hasn't) and if she hasn't then they will most likely schedule a c-section. :| scared, yes. SO, I may or may not have a lot of time coming up here in the next couple of weeks. But, I will try to be better about blogging. Untill then, toodles!

snow!
oh man. when I woke up sunday afternoon, I had no idea everything would be white, but let me tell ya, I am glad! It was a good snow too!!!! Robin and I were so happy about it, we actually took some pictures!! Another miracle in itself :D Well, I think we got somewhere in the neighborhood of 2"-4" of snow. I'm not exactly sure, but everything was covered and so beautiful! I didn't really know it was supposed to snow. I had heard people talking about it Saturday, but figured since it was 70 degrees outside that it was highly unlikely. I'm SOOOOO happy it did snow though! So happy. Snow just tastes so good!

who knows
I am never satisfied with the way this thing looks. So, probably everytime you look at it... it's different colors. Lucky you, you get variety. Sorry me, I can't find anything I like.
Soo.. Nothing really to update on. All we have left to fix on the trailer is the well, replacing the drains and floors. So, we should be move in by my anniversary (March 24). *fingers crossed. I'm excited to be in my own place again!! I've forgotten what its like to live on our own. If I remember... it was pretty much boring. :D hah. Anyways.
