Thankful For It All

There are so many things that I am thankful for. A few too many to even remember properly. There are the little things I don't think about so often that I am thankful for like running water and heating and air conditioning and clean drinking water. There are the big things that I am thankful for like God, a family of my own, a home and a country where I can be myself. There are ridiculous things that I am thankful for like nutella, I Love This Yarn, Apple Brand, Vintage Pyrex. There are things that I can't stand, but I am thankful for, like my past. Without it, then where would I be? I certainly wouldn't be myself.

I am thankful for you. Yep! You! The person who is reading this right now. You are so amazing to me. This simple gesture, reading, that you are doing is so wonderful to me. I don't know you and I can't see you, but I am thankful for you. Being able to blog makes me feel like there is this small corner of the world where everyone "gets it". They love to craft and find the extrordinary. They think that different is best. You are those people. You make me feel like I belong. You inspre me and drive me to create and think and express. You are so beautiful sitting behind that computer screen! I hope you know it! ;)

My Secret Pal Is AWESOME

Quite some time ago I got goodies in the mail!

It was a really good day too because when the mail came there were a lot of people at my house & they were all really excited about the package & couldn't wait for me to get home and open it.

It was kinda like Christmas!!

Complete with pretty doosles all OVER the box!

Insidethe box were the most happy making things!

There was NERDS, sour patch kids, sour worms, peach rings, sour gum drops- EVERY Imaginable delicous gummy candy! There were CROCHET HOOKS. CROCHET HOOKS PEOPLE! My Secret Pal KNOWS me. Seriously. She is amaaaaaazing!

Most IMPORTATNLY & Better then everything else that was in my package there was a note/collage.

Why, Yes! I do believe in magic. Most assuredly when station wagons with tons of things involved. If I didn't believe in magic when I saw this page, I did after I read the note on the back.

Isn't this the coolest collage? I adore it! But the words written, I don't know if you can see them very well.. I needed them, desperately. I needed to hear from someone that it was going to be okay. Even in the simplest words. I really cried when I read this. The happy tears that someone GOT it and someone understood.

So, secret pal: You are the awesomest. And I am quite sure the best secret pal in the whole group. I ain't lyin' people she is AWESOME!

Whoever you are, and I've looked for you & tried to figure this out but I'm just going to let it be. Who ever you are THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANKYOU! A kajillion times thank you.

so as you can see, I'm on target with the Journal challenge so far, and when I get done here I will start on tonight's challenge! I'm really loving this idea. It's getting me to think about things that I should ALWAYS think about. It's making me realize I have SO much to be thankful and happy about. It's making me see that my life isn't so bad after all.

I'm really thankful to Janel for creating and hosting this challenge. It's such an amazing idea and her promts are so heartfelt! I really feel liberated in a way by showing my journal pages to everyone. It's like... no matter what these pages say, this is who I am... and it's okay. So, major thanks Janel, for giving me this feeling. It's kinda mind shattering.

I feel like the first three entries were kinda rushed, and you can see that in their design. I guess I was just getting used to journaling & doodling again. Adding colors really helped me out alot. I like black&white but I think colors are more my style :)

So far my favorite page is Day 5. The Blogs I Love. And I'd just like to take a minute to say to everyone in my google reader & the blogs i follow on blogger:
