How ADORABLE! I'm thinking of making a creepy little pumpkin myself. I've been looking for Glow-in-the-Dark Yarn! Bernat used to make some, but I can't find it. But I am thinking about making a black pumpkin with an orange stem and stitching!

Ms. Fawne: Simply Amazing

last night was so wonderful I can't even begin to describe it!

I got off work at about 5 and went to the store for supplies & batteries.

Then I headed up to Built to Last Tattoo's in Thomaston, where Ms. Fawne works. Fawne is an amazing artist that I've known for quite some time now. I don't exactly remember how I came to know her, I believe a friend told me about her paintings and showed me her website, but anyways I've been a big fan of hers for years now. She is such a great artist whom I have followed for years and I really admire her style and imagination!

I remember she was the first person I had ever known to collect OWLS! Ha, now I know quite a few people who do! But Fawne created a painting called "Bird Love." And I absoluly fell in love with it! When Robin and I were dating we said we were both going to get it tattoo'd on us! I knew that Fawne really wanted to be a tattoo artist & after 5 years of knowing her last year she started tattooing! She created a facebook page for her work (i will link back to the FB page later, FB is blocked where I am right now). From there we chatted back and forth about Bird Love and how I always wanted it as a tattoo. We were both really excited and decided to do it! So, it's like a dream come true for me! And I am so happy that Fawne accomplished her dream of becoming a tattoo artist!

And another really cool fact about her (there are tons! she is really an awesome & interesting person!!) she was the FIRST person EVER to have an Etsy. True Story.

So, needless to say to have her tattoo me last night was an honor. It's not everyday that an artist that you adore becomes a tattoo artist and gives you such a great expierence. It was amazing!!

Here is the work in progress! You can see the painting "Bird Love" on the left! Isn't it so amazing? I wish I could have bought it back then so I had the original! We decided to do a scaled down version of the painting because of the tatoo being on my shoulder. I really like the whole painting, but as a tattoo I think the entire thing wouldn't work. Fawne agreed & we decided to use just the bird bodies without the legs because they wouldn't have a place to ground themselves. They would just be floating on my back.

Here is the finished tattoo! This was taken last night when I got home on my camera phone, but when I get my pictures uploaded I will post some more!

Pumpkins and such

hello loves! how is your wednesday treating ya? i've gotten a lot accomplished today!

I've uploaded a TON of picutres to my flickr and I added a new item to my etsy!

I know a lot of my journal friends were interested so they will probably go quick, but NEVER FEAR! I am making more :) You can always request one too! Say you want a black pumpkin with an orange stem? No Problem! Or maybe an off white pumkin with a brown stem? I gotcha covered.

I hope you guys are getting into the season change! I am so ready for it to be COOL! And it's not here. It's really annoying, but as soon as the cooler tempertures get here I know everything will be perfect!

My Secret Pal Is AWESOME

Quite some time ago I got goodies in the mail!

It was a really good day too because when the mail came there were a lot of people at my house & they were all really excited about the package & couldn't wait for me to get home and open it.

It was kinda like Christmas!!

Complete with pretty doosles all OVER the box!

Insidethe box were the most happy making things!

There was NERDS, sour patch kids, sour worms, peach rings, sour gum drops- EVERY Imaginable delicous gummy candy! There were CROCHET HOOKS. CROCHET HOOKS PEOPLE! My Secret Pal KNOWS me. Seriously. She is amaaaaaazing!

Most IMPORTATNLY & Better then everything else that was in my package there was a note/collage.

Why, Yes! I do believe in magic. Most assuredly when station wagons with tons of things involved. If I didn't believe in magic when I saw this page, I did after I read the note on the back.

Isn't this the coolest collage? I adore it! But the words written, I don't know if you can see them very well.. I needed them, desperately. I needed to hear from someone that it was going to be okay. Even in the simplest words. I really cried when I read this. The happy tears that someone GOT it and someone understood.

So, secret pal: You are the awesomest. And I am quite sure the best secret pal in the whole group. I ain't lyin' people she is AWESOME!

Whoever you are, and I've looked for you & tried to figure this out but I'm just going to let it be. Who ever you are THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANKYOU! A kajillion times thank you.

I Am A Busy Bee

i am still alive. i haven't fell off the face of the earth. ...yet.

But I have been a BUSY bee. So busy in fact that my blog love time has been reduced to NIL! and that doesn't make for a happy Heather.

I've also been spending all my spare time playing LBP... tehe. I'm addicted. And I got another controller so Robin and I play together!

BUT my schedule is about to become even more PACKED! I'm involved in some really awesome things and I just want to share them with you!

Most recently I joined Itsy Bitsy Spider's Pumpkin Patch Crochet Along!

If you crochet, you should JOIN! It's FREE! There is a flickr group where we can share our pictures and of course you'll get to meet more crafty fun people! I'm so excited to get started on this! I have a lot of cute ideas for my pumpkin patch!

Then, there is the I Heart FALL Online Art Journal class put on by Janel from Run With Scissors! If you don't know Janel, then you are SERIOUSLY missing out. She is so fun and crafty and just plain awesome! Go.. run along.. check her out!

I also am apart of the Pen Pal Project!

I just got my list in the mail this week and I plan to start writing my letters soon! I know a few people have popped in from this Project already and I would just like to give a HUGE shout out! HEEEY! I can't wait to get your letters!

DEAR my SECRET PAL: You are very magnificent! You have made my day, week, month and year! your collage & words literally made me cry. Evertime I eat some of my yummy candy I think of you and your sweet words. I have used and LOST one crochet hook already! My couch ate the crochet hook! LOL! But, I cannot wait to know who you are so I can properly thank you for the joy that you have given me. You've made me feel so happy & thankful. :) You are amazing and I love you. I really do. Who ever you are.
